picking up where I left off

It has been over three years since I wrote a blog post. Sort of weird to think about. Sadly, I'm having to start over with an entirely new blog. I cannot login to my former blog because I don't remember the password I used to an email I no longer use. I am giving this blog a new name from my former ("A Single Cup of Water"), but I'm not sure that it remain with that title. Maybe I'll never change it.

I have contemplated for a long time over why I even write anything, but I think the answer is glaring me in the face--I write because it is what I have often found myself most occupied with when I don't know what else to do. I think the need simply flows out of me.

This is more a test run more than anything else. A more indepth and profound post will make its way soon.
